Law Fellows
Israel-U.S. Civil Liberties Law Program
New Israel Fund’s Israel-U.S. Civil Liberties Law Program provides academic and professional experience to Israeli lawyers specializing in civil rights. Fellows spend one year at American University’s Law School, intern at an American public-interest legal organization, and spend a second year working with a NIF grantee in Israel. There are 45 program graduates who form the core of the civil rights bar in Israel- as academics, community organizers, founders of non-profit organizations, and litigators.
